Another favourite memory of a beautiful, rangey Oak from my sodden first visit to Lustleigh Cleave back in April 2025. Printed over an ombre base, I used a combination of inks that dried faster and wetter inks – this resulted in a nice chance of marks to represent the tree’s glory and the near-monsoon conditions!
This print was made for my ’25 for 25′ Moor Trees Crowdfunder, which celebrates our unique temperate rainforests across the UK.
We raised over £1,000 through more than 50 pledges, including sales of 27 monoprints [originally at £25 each].
£25 of print sales from this [and the remainder of the collection] will go directly to support Moor Trees’ mission to restore Dartmoor’s lost native woodlands through community-powered seed collection, tree growing and volunteer planting.
