‘Stump #138’ was selected for the British Contemporary Printmakers show at Delamore Arts 2024, and for the Happenstance Gallery ‘Structure + Foundation’ show in August 2023.
This is a gelliplate monoprint of a dead Ash Tree located in Old Mill Creek, Dartmouth (Devon).
This is Part of my ongoing Tree Portraits series, which now consists of over 400 unique prints
Sadly, Ash Dieback spread even faster during the Covid pandemic, as rangers/volunteers could not carry out their normal tasks, and tree stress was exacerbated by 2 long, hot dry spells from March onwards in 2020.
Monoprints are used throughout this series to emphasise the Individuality of trees, & in this case, a glowing, below-horizon sunset, reflecting on the trunk, felt apt for this piece.

Prints can be custom-framed at cost price here in Dartmouth on request.
Smaller prints are flat-packed, while larger works are carefully rolled and shipped in sturdy tubes. Packaging is protective and largely plastic-free.
Signed Certificates of Authenticity are available on request.
Returns are accepted within 28 days if any purchased print is not right for you.
