As I write [Autumn 2025], I am preparing a number of black and white reduction monoprints to raise money for a local Dartmoor-based charity, Moor Trees. In the build-up to this, I’ve also done a few more Joshua Trees in the same vein.
‘Sentinel’ is derived from an archival photograph of a Joshua Tree [photographer unknown] from around 100 years ago. The tree is undoubtedly long gone, this is a reminder that without adequate protection, we cannot presume that these unique plants will survive into another century…
