‘Stump #173’ is a Gelliplate Monoprint on Daley Rowney Heavyweight Cartridge 220 gsm, 36cm x 30cm

This is from the ongoing Series of over 300 Monoprints called the Tree Portraits, and originates from a photo of  one of many dead trees on Wanstead Flats.

London’s Pollarded Street Trees (predominantly Lime & Plane, chosen for their resilience to pollution) became something of a multi-valent representation of so many things we do/don’t know about Ecology to me; & Nature’s Real place in our world.​

these latter prints of the Series have moved away from the street trees of London,  as my Research further informed the Project, & my interest in the wider Ecology.
