‘Future’, Screenprint, 152cm x 96cm

The last of the Past/Present/Future series of Prints from 2020, ‘Future’ is from a particularly bleak photo taken of Spitbank Forts in the Solent. The Forts appear as ancient relics of a long lost Society, where only the most primitive of things remain [zygotes, amoeba]. A dying sun sets, with a toxic red cloud hanging above a ladder [to hell or heaven?], both Guston-esque props that I used in this period.
