I had the joy of visiting Dartmoor for the first time last September, taking many Photographs I took to document the occasion & to work from in the Studio.

I’d done a number of small ‘Empty Landscape’ monoprints before I’d commenced the Tree Portraits project, & this seemed like a perfect opportunity to continue this smaller series, although, contrary to the Title, Dartmoor’s biomass/biodiversity & general state appears to be on the mend, due to well-planned Conservation & a more progressive Farming hand.
